We started using Aeva Care a few months ago after my mum had a fall and was feeling very shaky being by herself. The team have been excellent and the support they provide is care/companionship for my mum, who is now back to her usual self. The team have given mum a routine and daily human contact which has helped get back her confidence. The additional reassurance that I get knowing someone is visiting mum daily is invaluable. In the past, my mother has been very resistant to outside help in her home or move into a care home. The staff at AevaCare have been very supportive and have gradually gained my mother's confidence. She now sees them as friends and looks forward to their visits. There has been a noticeable positive change in her outlook.  AevaCare is not a large company, which helps when it comes to reacting to any changes to Mum's needs. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Mum is almost 100 years old and with support from AevaCare, I am confident that she can stay in her home for as long as is practicably possible.

AevaCare has been supporting us with care for my parents for more than six months. My parents have differing needs and my mother’s care needs have increased significantly since AevaCare began visiting. AevaCare has been wonderful in adapting to our requirements and has been consistently caring, friendly, efficient and helpful, doing everything that we have asked of them and more. We are kept well informed of any issues or concerns and the care package is reviewed regularly. My mother recently began to develop pressure sores but her lovely carers spotted this quickly and alerted us immediately, the District Nurse who visited in response commented on how impressed she was with the actions of the carers which prevented the problem escalating and resulted in the sores healing quickly due to rapid treatment. My parents are happy with their carers and seem genuinely pleased to see them. We are delighted with the care they are receiving and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend AevaCare.

My mother has been using AevaCare for many months and they have always been wonderful. They are professional, friendly and extremely efficient. They do additional jobs for her too such as collecting prescriptions from the pharmacy, buying provisions if she's running low. Their help and support has been amazing. My elderly Mum needed homecare due to a couple of falls. We were so lucky to have found AevaCare as all the staff are so friendly and caring. Mum refers to them as 'her girls' and has grown very fond of them. They go the extra mile for Mum by doing such things as gently persuading her to do her exercising together with concentrating on the more routine matters.

My sister looks forward to the carer coming each day. She will prepare lunch and tidy up. If my sister feels like it, she will take her out for a walk to get any shopping that is needed. If not, the carer will collect the shopping for her. My sister tells me that they sit and chat and have a laugh.

The staff are very helpful and supportive to me, nothing is too much trouble.

As a family, we were very happy with the care provided by AevaCare. Mum had been in a care home for some respite care following a series of hospital admissions, but she was keen to get home. The manager and her assistant met with us to discuss and agree the care package needed.

Mum went home and the service started, there was a good ongoing dialogue to tweak the package to get the best benefit for the patient. Myself or my sister were able to call in fairly often and were happy that the carers had developed a good relationship with Mum and all was working well.

Since we have been working with AevaCare in late December we have been impressed with the quality of care provided by the staff and management. Communication has been excellent, with regular and timely updates on my father’s health and a good level of dialogue when there have been concerns. The notes left after each visit are full and helpful.

The carers are friendly and experienced, treating my parents with dignity and responding to any changing needs as necessary. There is very good consistency in staffing, with three regular members of staff who are now well known by my parents and are trusted by us.  The hourly rate seems to be good value compared to other providers we looked at, although we have had no experience prior to using AevaCare so it is a little hard to comment on this.

My carer is a very kind, compassionate person - cheerful and approachable. She appears to enjoy her work and she has the ability to put you at ease. Nothing is too much trouble. She is gentle and caring in her approach and her help is invaluable. I look forward to her short visits in the mornings and they set me up for the day.
