Heading Our Home Care Services
Katherine Li - Director / Owner
Welcome to AevaCare! My personal involvement with care has been through caring for my late mother-in-law with dementia and I understand the impact of how long term illnesses, especially dementia can have on individuals and their families. As I was involved with my mother-in-law’s care providers, where inappropriate support was given and she was often misunderstood, I am determined that others would not be have to endure the experience my mother-in-law went through.
Providing hospital to home assistance, I also cared for my mother who has impaired renal functions and arrhythmia, helping her to recuperate and overseeing her medication. In addition, I witnessed first-hand another family member who suffered from stroke, along with its limitations on movement, communication and how physical therapy assisted recovery.
Focus on High Standards
I have witnessed the negative effect of poor care in various health care settings and what a difference high quality care can make - high quality care which is person centred, focussed on the needs of the individual, delivered with kindness and from the heart. Searching for something that matched my personal experiences with that of a previous professional career in Financial Services IT and University Lecturing, I decided to establish an independent care business which I can build and shape around my personal high standards.
Forward Looking
First and foremost we aim to provide an exemplary standard of care for all our Service Users. We also aim to be forward looking, progressive, operating in a culture of continuous improvement both for AevaCare and staff in order to raise the bar in the provision of our home care services. We seek quality in every process, employing the latest technology to add value, improving administration and communication amongst our staff, so that more time is spent on delivering actual care, enabling and empowering our service users to live independently in their own homes and supporting their families.
Supporter of Dementia Friendly Communities
As an advocate of volunteering, I encourage my team to participate in local events, build Dementia Friendly Communities and AevaCare provides us with an added platform to give something back to our local community. My caring nature extends to animals, especially dogs where I was a breed club Welfare and Rescue Coordinator for a number of years.
We are based at Enterprise House, Beeson's Yard, Bury Lane, Rickmansworth WD3 1DS. You are always welcome to drop in to see us at any time.
Care Management
Rose Tanner - Registered Care Manager
Greetings! I started as a Care Assistant in Community Care with a local agency, providing personal care and home help to the elderly. My career has seen me in various roles, working my way up in Domiciliary Care to include being a Care Co-Ordinator and a Care Manager. I am committed to caring for Service Users under my care and believe in going the extra mile to ensure they are happy in their home environment. I possess the ability to engage with people at all levels.
Skilled in developing supportive relationships with our Service Users, I strive to maintain good working relationships with their families and other health professionals involved in their care. I thrive working under pressure and am passionate about delivering a quality service.
Extensive Experience
My care experience spans involvement with Elderly, Mental Health, Challenging Behaviour, Dementia and Palliative Care. I am passionate about encouraging our Service Users to be independent and enjoy a quality of life. Alongside this I establish and maintain our Service Users' care plans and develop our team of discrete, friendly, engaging and professional carers to support our Service Users with their needs safely.
